Sometimes you get the privilege to shoot families throughout the years, to see the kids grow up and to be a part of that journey through images - and this one is especially close to my heart. I first photographed Claudia when she was pregnant with these two, and every few years, when they visit South Africa, they book a session with me. Watching these twins grow up through my lens has been one of the quiet privileges of doing this work.
This time we headed up to Signal Hill at sunrise, and Cape Town delivered. Table Mountain behind them, the city below, that low golden light doing exactly what it does up there in the early morning.
