I do love my job…I get to meet the most wonderful people! Shuia is just so bubbly, energetic and lovely…I had a ball with this session. Luka is just as bouncy as mom and is very excited for his new baby brother to arrive…he calls him Rice Krispie Ben! And then to balance these two balls of energy, there’s calm Tebogo… It was great meeting you guys, can’t wait to meet Ben

When I do a maternity session, I always ask the parents to come for the newborn session within a week of the birth. I realise you are barely home and able to function, sore and still trying to cope, but it is so worth it… Alonso is 7 days old and was a dream to photograph. He slept through most of the session, letting us put him in all sorts of props and positions…as long as he had his pacifier inbetween shots, he was happy. And the best part for me is that you can capture those newborn wrinkles and brand new creamy skin…Natercia and Marco…he is perfection!

I’m a little late with this post, seeing that the World Cup is over, but I still wanted to post some of the images. We went to one of the many fan parks to see the final between Holland and Spain – our friend Mike from MJ Event Gear did the staging and lighting at St Stithians for all the games … it was amazing! – the spirit of the people and what we as a country accomplished makes me so proud to be South African!!! Bring on the Olympics

There’s nothing that makes me happier than return clients especially when you get the honour of shooting their whole family! This was such a fun session and this family can make some beautiful children, that’s for sure… Thank you Tania!
We didn’t manage to get a lot of images today due to time constraints, but I’m really happy with the ones we did get . Brand new Anje has peachy baby skin and the cutest pout. Seugnet and Francois, you made a very, very cute muchkin!!
Last night was very special for us…Derek’s “little girl” got engaged!!
Craig did the whole thing…got down on his knees and made a moving speech, made everyone cry and surprised Shannon with a beautiful proposal…aaaahhh. Seriously, what more could a girl ask for ???
Shannon told him once that she wanted to get engaged when her family and friends were around, so he did just that…everyone was there…and everyone was in on it He has been planning for weeks! So, in the guise of a belated birthday party for Shaz, we all arrived and tried not to let her in on the real reason we were all there. Now Craig is a very energetic person at the most normal of times so imagine for a moment a man nearly exploding with nervous energy, a lot of cigarettes and a few jaegies (for courage) later… And boy, did he do good!
And after he made a fake speech for the fake birthday party, the paparazi was on hand to capture these wonderful moments… Congratulations you two! We love you LOTS and know that you will have the most wonderful life together… mwah mwah xxx
